Tył i spód ciężarówki to już prawdziwe cuda techniki - mamy tu układ pneumatyczny z airtankiem, automatycznym wyłącznikiem ciśnieniowym i 9 siłownikami, pozwalającymi podnosić bom, rozkładać podpory i zaczep holowniczy, a także unosić drugą oś. Wszystkie trzy tylne osie są zawieszone na wachaczach wzdłużnych, a dwie ostatnie napędzane przez dyferencjały. Trzy silniki elektryczne oprócz kompresora obsługują także wysuwanie bomu i napęd całej ciężarówki. Bom ma jedną wysuwaną sekcję i podwójną głowicę z dwoma hakami na podwójnej wyciągarce. Ale - bądźmy szczerzy - wszystkie te techniczne smaczki to tylko dodatek do wyglądu modelu.

Szczęśliwych posiadaczy Black Cata zainteresuje z pewnością fakt, że autor wykonał kompletne MLCadowe modele ciężarówki w wersji czarnej i białej, przygotował schematy całej mechaniki, oraz udostępnił bardzo drobiazgowe modele i schematy wszystkich podzespołów wraz z listą części. According to many AFOLs, the goal of a perfect Lego Technic design is to come as close as possible to the Model Team standards. Model Team is the name of a line of over 20 Lego sets released between 1975 and 1999, with the legendary set 5571 "Black Cat" being its flag product.

The Black Cat represents the essence of the MT line - aesthetics, great focus on details and authenticity at the level of professional model-making. And this very set is the foundation of an equisite tow truck model than blends together the best of Lego Technic and Model Team.

This beauty, built by grazi, may appear to be just a slightly modified 5571, but that's just an appearance. Below the intact body, there is a rebuilt frame with an advanced front suspension, and the sleeper section of the cab hides an electric compressor. The bottom and rear parts of the truck are technical masterpieces - there is a pneumatic system with an airtank, a pressure switch, and 9 pneumatic cylinders that power the boom, two outriggers and towing hook, and make it possible to lift up the second axis. All the three rear axes are suspended on levers, with axes 3 & 4 driven via differentials. Three electric motors power the compressor, the boom extension mechanism and the drivetrain. The boom has one extendable section and twin head with two hooks and double hoist. But let's be honest - all this technical stuff is but an addition to the look of the model.
